Hotel is located about 1 min walk from Oshiage station. This connects via the access express train from Narita and Haneda airports and takes less than one hour from each. Tokyo station is about 10 minutes away.
Tokyo Skytree and shopping mall is only a few minutes walk from hotel. There are many shops, restaurants and some bars in close vicinity. A large supermarket is on ground floor of hotel. Overall a great location.
The room on the top floor was of good size (for Japan), spotlessly clean, new with sophisticated decor with an air of premium ambiance.
Very comfortable double bed especially the pillows. Easy to access plug sockets and light controls with dimmer functions all located on a handy ledge built into frame. Convenient place for a phone.
Large TV faces bed and is multi-functional with even free VOD with both western & foreign movies, a nice extra to offer since most hotels in Japan charge.
A modern desk is offered with a helpful plug adaptor with cables for all phones. A air purifier machine is on top of desk along with telephone and personal mirror.
There is a small chair & coffee table plus cabinet with an empty fridge and some glasses.
Amenities offered include a small water in the shape of the Tokyo skytree & not to take away hotel branded pyjamas.
The room also has a window with a view that has a door can be slightly opened for fresh air.
There is also a laptop size safe, trouser press with iron and ironing board.
The bathroom is typical Japanese style with short deep bath and combined shower that worked well. Full set of amenities such as razor and toothbrush plus a shampoo shower gel by the brand - global environmental protection project, in which they also sell products at reception.
Overall a very comfortable & functional premium business hotel room in Tokyo.
The hotel offers free high speed wifi.
There is a restaurant near the lobby but did not use. Smoking room, touch screen computers, laundry and various vending machines are in the hotel on various floors.
Staff very friendly and efficient. However you cannot check in before 2pm for free. You have pay thousand yen per hour from 11am & staff would not budge on this. Appears to be the policy of the Richmond hotels. However check-in and check-out was efficient and polite.
I definitely would stay here again, loved the location and room was very comfortable.

The hotel is located right on Da Nang beach of which is right across the road. Situated in a quieter area area of the beach hotels.
From Da Nang airport it takes about 20 minutes by taxi costs around 10 dollars.
Within area are the odd fish restaurants but is not really near a major night life area. However across street on beach is a water sport facility such as hire of Jet Ski or Parasailing and costs about twenty five dollars for use.
Upgraded to large suite corner of building room on the 12th floor, after some having issues with the air conditioner system in another lower grade room.
The main room offers a large living room, bedroom and kitchen all in open plan design with a separate side room with bunk beds for say kids or other guests.
Living room area offers a table with seating for four people with modern kitchen equipment such with electric stoves, large fridge, microwave, kettle, sink and various tableware items suitable for self catering.
The bed is in the centre of the room and is very comfortable with easily accessible light dimmer switches, located on the side of bed. However there are no bedside tables and no plug sockets close by, so not so convenient for placing drinks or charging phones etc. In fact plug sockets are quite limited in this room as only by kitchen and close to window in living room area.
On one side of the bed are large mirrors and a small bench seating offering large drawers underneath. Each side if the bench are open wardrobes for each person, but they only provide 2 coat hangers each of which seemed limited.
At the end of the bed is the living room area and offers two arm chairs with a comfortable corner design sofa. These face the flat screen TV that offers 54 Channels of which 25 are international that include HBO, BBC, National Geographic etc.
A large bathroom exists with both shower and bath tub offering large bottle shower gel, body lotion and shampoo. As well as dental kits and other items. Water is not that hot but Da Nang is very hot.
There is a digital AC system and this had some initial problem due to some power outages before my stay but worked ok.
The room is finished in contemporary light coloured decor and is very clean and boutique in design.
The highlight of the room is the remote-controlled blinds that face the sea and the side view of beach road. I left these open at night and found it very relaxing to watch the city lights as well as waking up to sunrise with the ocean in front of you.
Overall a very nice room and suitable for those that like self-catering and enjoy a splendid view of the coast.
The hotel offers open WIFI in all areas including the pool located across the road and it is generally fast but does drop a bit in the room.
There is a cafe downstairs and where the breakfast buffet is served. There is quite a good selection of items with made to order eggs and this is included with room rates.
There is also a roof top bar but never visited it.
The pool, as mentioned, is across the road and is of nice size and design right on the beach with decent amount of sun loungers, there is also a convenient pool bar with reasonably and decent snack food and drink items.
On the 2nd floor is a small gym and yoga studio. Also this is where the SPA area is and it is expensive compared to street places but the quality of the massage was good.
The staff are meeting a five star standard of service at this hotel.
I had an issue with room being presented very hot and not cooling down that quickly so complaining to one of the front desk staff, he came and offered me a choice of 3 more premium upgraded different rooms and even gave me a fan to borrow for the night.
Issues do occur in hotels but this hotel did go out of their way to make the guest happy. I also found staff to be very friendly and helpful with advice for tourism places including in the cafe with general restaurant staff.
Overall as normal in Vietnam the service is very high standard and thus contributed as to why I gave this review a high rating.

The hotel is located just outside (2km) of Hoi An. It's a good 10-15min easy flat road cycle ride (they rent bikes for free) to the centre. They also offer a free shuttle at specific times to both the centre and the local beach where they have a restaurant.
Close-by hotel are a few coffeeshops, restaurants and bar.
The 7th floor boutique suite is quite a spacious room with a high roof ceiling & balcony.
The soft comfortable double bed is in the centre of the room and has bed side tables with warm mellow lamps either side with plug sockets. The bed faces a large double door leading to a balcony with a view of the city.
Behind the bed is a desk area, some seats and the mini bar with another window that faces the rice paddies on other side of hotel thru the exterior corridor.
To the right hand side of bed is a sofa, separate chair with a coffee table plus a large wardrobe containing an easy to use lap top size safe & soft towel robes. There is also a luggage rack with very comfortable flip flops to use but not take away. To the left of bed is a dressing up table with mirror
The TV is located on the side of bed, of which can be moved between bed or sofa, on offer is 40 channels. These include international satellite TV from NHK, FOX to Discovery etc.
The open plan bathroom offers two sinks with a separate room for toilet and the very comfortable bath and separate shower. A nice view of city and surrounding area is seen from the modern bath but the window is not tinted so be wary.
Amenities are all hotel branded mini bottles of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion plus dental and shaver kits.
The AC worked well and is digital.
Overall a very nice comfortable and cosy room.
The hotel offers open wifi and works fast for multiple devices.
Catering options include a restaurant on ground level and this is where breakfast and dinner is served. Breakfast has some good options and food tasted good especially local dish Cam Lau. Dinner I didn't have because they have a set menu but it's a minimum of two people to have it of which means single guests either pay double or go elsewhere like I did.
There is also a bar on the pool level & room service of which is mostly western comfort food.
The pool is really nice with sun loungers that has a very picturesque setting facing the rice paddies across the street. There is also a gym and on ground level is the spa.
The spa is reasonably priced with good skilled staff. I had a traditional Vietnamese and it was incredible.
There is also a clothes shop, an area for kids and some computers to use.
Hotel offers free bicycle hire of which is a great way to explore this historic city.
Overall very nice offering of facilities.
Staff are very friendly and enthusiastic in all area and offers a great service with a smile.
I loved the Lasenta and if I'm back in Hoi An again, I will surely stay there again. Reasonably priced and it's actually nice to be slightly out of the town centre in a quieter area since it is a very busy in city centre with tourists.

The hotel is located in the middle of a newly built mall type complex.
From the HAK airport it takes around 20minutes and to downtown Haikou it is around 30 minutes away by car.
The room is very grand & of an opulent look on the 17th floor. Good level of detail has been put into the decor of this medium size room that offers a super comfy and high king size bed. Either side are bed side tables with pull out drawers that offer international plug sockets and even specific USB sockets for either I phone or Android. Button lighting and electronic drape controls are also on the bedside table and easily accessible from bed to create either ambience, reading, accent or night light- controlling the various overhead lighting to create the ideal mood etc.
The bed faces a large TV and grand wooden cabinet, where there is a Nespresso coffee machine plus shelves that contains items such as a globe, tea set, some vases and even a book about the Beatles.
The TV has full cable channels with some movies, CNN for English but also Russian, Japanese and Korean TV is offered.
Below TV is a mini bar containing large bottles of wine, liquor, soft drinks and snacks- as well as a premium glasses and plate set plus cups for the coffee making.
The room also contains a large round dining style table instead of a desk but worked well as since plug sockets are nearby. It also enables you to enjoy in-room dining at a proper table. Behind this is a phone, lamp and a small Bose speaker unit that can be synched up to via bluetooth. There is a also a soft and comfy arm chair and side table.
The ambience feels like an executive chairmans bedroom from the effort of the detail and the vibe it creates.
A large balcony also exists with two chairs and a nice view of the hotel golf course.
The bathroom is very spacious with complete elegant marble finish from top to bottom. Offers two sinks, an enclosed large marble bath as well as a spacious washing area with marble seat below an overhead rain shower but there is also a separate detachable shower. The bath has a comfy pillow to lie and watch the bath TV at the end. Same channel as main room and good sound quality throughout the bathroom.
Amenities are as expected very premium Ritz Carlton home branded full set and generous personal tubes of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion and soaps by British brand asprey's. Thick lovely towels and robes with soft towel finish on the inside, one of the best robes seen in any hotel. Slippers are also offered.
There is WIFI for free throughout the hotel, secure using your room number. It worked well and allowed vpn access.
Catering includes a roof top bar called Flair that has some light dishes kind of restaurant such as Sushi. It offers a nice view and has a female Dj playing some mellow house music.
There is also a Chinese restaurant but didn't try it, a lobby bar with macaroons, cakes and teas- a nice lounge atmosphere with a lady singing songs accompanied by a playing piano.
Also an Italian restaurant is where breakfast is served but had to leave early so unable to try it. Pool bar as well. The hotel does offer a take-away breakfast box in which I did try and had some nice pastries and fruit offered with bottle of water.
The pool is quite small for size of hotel with limited loungers but a nice setting with view of golf course. It is sufficient for doing lengths. There is also a kids pools with some water fountain displays. Plus also a whole kids room with toys and outside area has a climbing frame.
There is a gym- very clean and new with techno gym equipment, cardio and weights rooms. A massage spa also exists.
They do offers a golf course, but this is quite small compared to a normal size but still looks nice and well lit up in front of the hotel.
There is also a business centre, conference facilities and a souvenir shop but did not see these. The decor throughout the hotel is exceptional level of detail.
Staff on all levels offers the highest standard of customer service. They all acknowledge you and want to help you with anything. As expected at this international brand they all speak very well English.
A very nice Ritz Carlton. The room was exceptionally cosy.

The hotel is located in the centre of the city but in a relatively quiet area. They operate an airport shuttle every 30minutes and takes about 15 minutes to/from Bole airport.
To other areas of Addis Ababa like Mercado or the national museum is around 10 minutes drive away. The location is perfect for business or leisure in the city.
The room is a nice 5 star standard room with an excellent variation of lighting and mellow ambience consisting of brown & cream leather with wooden fittings.
The king size bed was super comfortable thanks to the soft mattress topper & soft pillows- hard to wake up. Either side are small side tables with above lamps as well as flexi-reading lights. One side offers a two pin Euro plug socket.
There is a workable desk offering a UK and Euro plug socket, phone and lamp with an above large mirror for say doing make-up.
A thick cube brown leather armchair is located in corner with foot stool, side table and tall lamp- great for watching the TV that faces the bed. The TV is multi functional with menu showing information about hotel services, wake up and as well as a room service menu shown. 70 International TV channels spanning Europe such as BBC, French, Arabic, Africa and local TV- with plenty of movie and sports channels as well as radio options. . There is a long leather stool at base of TV, a luggage rack, mini fridge, tea/coffee making facilities wth a complimentary bottle of water. Plus a large wardrobe with slippers, shaving kit, dental kit, ironing board, hair dryer and laptop size safe.
The spacious bathroom offers both a separate bath and shower cubicle that worked perfectly and offered mini bottles of amenities for hair and body by the french brand Anne Semonin.
AC is offered on a dial and the soundproof windows can also be opened, blacked out drapes are also offered for those needing rest day time. Overall very comfortable business hotel room with a premium African ambience.
The hotel offers fast WIFI that can be used for multiple devices, secure using your room number. VPN's work fine.
Catering facilities include a buffet style restaurant with excellent standard of food and choices, the different types of fish they offer stood out as exceptionally good. Plus many deserts, fruits and breads as well as traditional local foods, which tasted great.
They also offer an outdoor bar that is quite happening in the evening with a DJ playing chilled music and the area has comfortable sofas with fires burning to keep you warm as its cool in the evenings. There is also a bakery lounge area near recepion for breads & coffee's in the morning and indoor bar area.
Leisure facilities include a small gym with modern equipment and a SPA with massage facilities that are reasonable priced, say a chair massage of 20 minutes is less than $10.
There is also a shop with local goods and clothing. Plus a concierge desk to arrange transfers and tours is also offered.
Business centre is also available, plus many conference rooms.
Staff are very friendly and hospitable, welcoming at reception & helpful at the concierge desk & restaurant with sincere enthusiasm. The driver also that provides the shuttle is pleasant to chat with. Overall staff are meeting a 5 star standard of service.
This hotel is included if your in transit between Ethiopian airline flights over 8 hours and flying business class with meals provided. However despite this I would certainly not hesitate to book this hotel if I was visiting Addis Ababa again.

Hotel is located about 15-20minutes from Madrid airport. 20min from T4. The shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes, on the hour from hotel & 25' / 55' past the hour from T4- it is quite a small van which can only carry 19 passenger and don't expect much help with luggage.
Within vicinity is the main road from the airport & not much else but there is a pavement if one wishes to walk to some restaurants and a fuel station about 5 min walk away. To downtown Madrid it takes about 20-30 minutes.
The room on the 4th block looked very new and clean- the decor is all white and has a boutique artistic feel to it by the mellow lighting coming of the white lamps and white and brown painted walls - overall a nice design.
It was a spacious room that offered a very comfortable high king size bed with nice little reading lights either side plus lamps built into the headboard. One side offered a phone and the other also had a table. Plug sockets either side for convenience.
The room also offers a small table with two arm chairs facing each other next to a tall lamp. It is not a desk but its ok for working. A large Samsung Smart TV faces the bed with apps such as you tube, spotify, twitter etc if you need all that. There is an option to mirror the TV if you have a Samsung phone. TV Channels offered include about 100 cable channels obviously majority is Spanish but some English, lots of German, some French, Russian and a few Chinese and one Arabic channel.
There is a nice luggage rack and a large wardrobe containing a laptop size safe, plenty of clothes hangers and a mini fridge, empty apart from two water bottles. There is also a kettle with some hot drinks sachets of coffee and tea.
The bathroom felt very modern offering a shower and bidet. Amenities included Acca Kappa mini bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and shower gel. It was clean with decent towels.
Overall room was nice and mellow, with blackout window blinds and I slept well and comfortable.
The hotel is quite big, rooms are located in 4 blocks and can be a longer than expected walk if you are, like me in block 4.
This is because the hotel is basically a conference centre with no less than 24 conference rooms and even a Auditorium which you walk past on the lobby level to get to the elevators of rooms. It seems more like a conference centre with a hotel as an addition rather than other way round but I was not there during conference hours so found it not an issue.
However the hotel does offers some good facilities. Leisure includes a large pool for laps, sauna, and a gym - all clean & of a modern standard.
Catering includes a few bars here and there and a restaurant. I did not try this so cannot comment on food. However a burger via the room service is around €16 but they close at 11pm and I was too late to try.
There is also a few computers with printers close to lobby area, a shop with some souvenirs type items and a line of vending machines.
WIFI does not require a password and was very fast. In addition AVIS car hire is also in the building.
Reception did take a while to check me in due to many guest but lobby staff were helpful & proactive with directing guests in an orderly line to next available check-in desk. They also acknowledge in a friendly manner. Check-in was very detailed and clear about transfers and room directions from a trainee female staff. I also couldn't find the swimming pool and staff helpfully directed me to it. Staff service was as you expect at a 5 star in Europe, meeting a good standard. I just hope guests with large bags get assistance to the rooms as they can be far especially in block 4.
Overall for price paid £87 this hotel was good value for money in being close to the airport between flights, it was comfortable with decent enough facilities.

Hotel is located about 5 minutes drive from JFK airport. They have shuttle buses that go every 15-30 minutes depending on time of day. Manhattan, say Mid town is an hour by car or same via the E train from Jamaica, you can pick this up at Federal circle since hotel offer shuttle buses to pick you up from there. The area itself is next to the perimeter of JFK with other hotels nearby in a residential neighbourhood of Jamaica nearby with not much to walk to. However the view is very good of the airport if you like watching planes fly past.
The room was a large suite. You enter into a large living room where there is a 3 seater nice wide leather sofa, kitchen area with an expresso machine with star bucks pods, microwave and tableware. There is a large nice living room table for 4. This is next to a large TV on the wall and there is also a walk in closet offering an ironing board and large laptop size safe.
The bedroom was large and spacious with nice colourful decor and a very comfortable large king size bed. Lamps and bedside tables either side with phone and alarm clock. Lighting options are good and plug access is plentiful with US plugs built into the lamps. There is a desk and mini fridge plus filter coffee making facility. Large TV above with full US cable channels. Digital AC worked well.
The bathroom was spacious with a large shower cubicle, though the fixed shower function hot water seemed to take longer than normal to heat up. Towels are nice and thick, Temple spa branded mini amenities are offered and they include everything but no toothbrush. However the sleep therapy kit is a stand out amenity for Crown Plaza.
Overall room was very nice and spacious but for a suite standard it's a shame they don't include a bath tub.
The hotel offers free WIFI for two devices only, its a bit slow but acceptable for email and social media. There are chargeable options for more devices and faster speed.
Catering outlets include a bar and restaurant, bar kind of food which was mixed, burger was ok but fries were uncooked since I got a take-out decided to discard them. Breakfast buffet though had a good selection of hot and cold choices.
Leisure outlets include a gym with modern cardio equipment with in built TV's plus they also offer a Zen room with Yoga mats and complimentary water.
There is also a snack shop, ATM and some computers at reception. There is a large car park as well but unsure if its charged or not.
Staff are all really friendly in areas with fast check-in and check out.
Overall a decent hotel for staying close to JFK, would definitely come again if in between flights if I had no need to go to city. Only disappointing thing is the high presence of immigration police that stay at hotel & walk around looking moody. Obviously not the hotels fault.

In an area that is remote and about 8 minutes drive to say Pub Street/Night market, 7km from Angkok Wat temple complex and about 20 minutes drive from airport. This initially put me off booking but this hotel is so efficient. For one they provide free airport transfers both ways in a Mercedes. A Tuk Tuk is on site that charges $3 to the town one way and for return they actually give you a card and their own mobile phone for other Tuk Tuk drivers to call and confirm location. The location itself is down a dusty road in the countryside with rice field each side. Its very quiet and relaxing. Perfect for a couple.
Room was huge, open plan on two layers. As you enter, you are presented with the main bedroom, the double bed in the centre of the room is comfortable and large - it was very comfy for sleeping. Behind it is a large wooden built bedpost/very long large desk with a chair, if you do need to work plus wooden blinds inform of glass blind to exit to your porch.
There are mellow hanging lamps on either side of bed. Bedside tables as well with telephone, lighting controls that have dimmer functions for those lamps. On opposite side is a clock and an international power socket. All very convenient. Facing the bed is a large 3 person sofa, kind of like the size of the bed with a wooden table and was presented with a fruit bowl and some delicious drinks. To the side of bed is a large TV, great clarity and offers about 49 channels, a clear guide is offered & from the satellite box attached this includes everything from Chinese TV, Thai, Al Jazera, Euro News, Sky News from UK, French TV to US Fox and National geographic. Basically something for everyone.
On the opposite wall across the beautiful wooden floor is a two large wooden wardrobes with a luggage rack in between. On left hand side there is a mini bar (snacks and drinks) , a decent laptop size safe as well. On other side is an iron and ironing board plus robes & plenty of coat hangers.
This area also has a digital Ac control that worked well and overhead bed fan- making sleep very comfortable.
Down some steps to the lower level is the open plan ceramic finish bathroom- a sink either side for each person offers a full set of amenities such as dental kits, Razor sets and combs etc. Be wary with the taps when on as the hot the water is near boiling & burnt myself.
The biggest bath I have ever seen is offered in between and you could easily fit 4 adults in there- its that big. There is a open plan cubicle with toilet and shower- they offer small ceramic bottles of shower gel, not take away kind but still nice.
There are glass doors at the end where you will find your own personal garden. Its very nice with two chairs but nice effort of plants etc.
Overall without a shadow of doubt the room is meeting a 5 star standard. It is so spacious, very cosy and nicely set up. They also include 4 complimentary water bottles by the sinks and the bed - so you never have a shortage of free bottled water. Slippers are also there at the side of your bed.
The hotels is still at the early stages of opening and even one side they are still building an additional 12 rooms to the already 12 they have. I believe they will build a spa and possibly a gym in time. Do not worry though if you choose to stay here soon because the building noise cannot be heard inside the room as the current rooms are on the opposite side.
The hotel offers Free WIFI for multiple devices and speed was good. This is throughout the hotel.
There is a large infinity style pool with chairs all around very relaxing and decent size for laps. A pool bar exists as well.
Catering is one restaurant and breakfast is included, you are given a clear menu that includes a course by course breakfast rather than a buffet. They offer any style of egg, friend rice with various kinds of meat with egg (had this and it was delicious) and fried noodles (also with any kind of meat), plus a nice fruit plate and bread basket, toast, rolls, pan au raison and pain au chocolate. All delicious. They do offer dinner but did not try it as only stayed here one night.
The hotel doesn't currently have a spa yet but they do offer a massage service in room with a free 15 minutes foot or back voucher given- though I think you only get this if you have a massage. They offer various kinds on a menu but right now it is just Thai, relaxation massages- none of which really interested me for the price they are charging ($40).
There is a model of Angkor Wat which is actually very impressive.
Overall they haven't finished yet but so far nice facilities for what they currently have- pool looks nice and food is great.
Staff are just like everywhere in Cambodia - the nicest people ever. So polite, so sincere and so approachable. They make a lot of effort at this hotel such as from the driver explain the city very clearly to the restaurant staff whom are very attentive to detail. Even the reception staff will personally accompany you to the room (& they don't even want your credit card for expenses) and explain everything very clearly when room is presented. The level of enthusiasm and effort is better than most 5 star hotels I have stayed at.
I certainly hope to stay again- its off the busy area but worth it. The room and staff are just exceptional. The price tag of around £50 in October really made this place great value for money but am sure it will go up once they complete everything.

Around a 5 minutes walk from arrivals at Schipol airport. It is well signposted once outside of arrival hall 4 with covered walkways. Trains at Schipol take 10minutes to Amsterdam Central station and 30 minutes to Rotterdam.
Room is awesome. Blown away by the innovative concept of the room. A huge bed lies at the end of the smallish room where digital blinds & black out screens are used. Sound proof windows. The room offers a mini iPad with a charging stand. Here you control everything, the large TV that faces the bed which offer many TV networks and over 30 or more pre-programmed hollywood movies.
Next to the bed is a desk which is also has the bed side table that offers ability to work on computer and this is where the hotel offer two free bottles of water. There is convenient plug socket on the side of bed plus a large pull out drawer to place hand luggage or clothing.
There are two circular pods that offer mood lightning in each - any colour you wish that you select from the IPad plus specific mood such as romance, movie, party, business (lights and TV do a show etc)- creates a nice ambience for whatever mood takes you.A curtain can be pulled aside from bed to the the two pods. One is a shower in which operates once doors are closed, rain shower and separate head is offered. Amenities include two large bottles of shampoo or shower gel. All works fine and water leaks into floor due to efficient drainage system. The other pod is the toilet that frosted glass for privacy if you are with someone. There is a sink inside room and a shelf with both Euro and UK plugs easy to place your bathroom products.
An open wardrobe is located by door with coat hangers plus a safe below that could fit some small items. Overall the room is superb for an overnight stay between flights and beats the expensive prices of city centre. However things can go wrong if your iPad is dead. So highly recommend leaving it in the dock.
The hotel operates a remote check in system via self service machines, it's very much like checking into a flight but without having to provide ID etc. You can select which side of building you want and add on extras such as breakfast or late check out. Staff are there though to help.
The hotel has free very fast wifi. Able to download a 300mb file within 10 minutes. This is open non- secure so multiple devices can be used throughout the hotel.
Business facilities include 4 Apple Mac computers and some meeting rooms.
Catering includes a large bar and coffeeshop with food options. Self service canteen style. Breakfast is quite nice and healthy but a good selection of hot (scrambled egg, boiled egg, tomatoes) and cold (muesli, yogurts, fruit, cheese, salmon etc).
There is also a shop that has really cool items everything from mini cocktail sets, 'lovers kit", phone cables note pads even colour changing umbrellas- all very boutique and interesting art.
There is also lot of lounge seating which i notice people sit on computers and work from. Plus outside seating for those that smoke. Also for those needing to Iron, there is a dedicate room for ironing.
Staff are really friendly and chilled out, I managed to be able to check-in at 830am without a fee which was great after a flight from China. They even offered me any free drink from the bar. I had some issues in the evening , the iPad dock wasn't charging and the toilet was making a lot of noise - all were resolved and managed well with manager without even requesting offering me a free breakfast & late check out. Despite the issues I give them 5 stars because of the commitment the staff have to customer service & the fact the room is simply awesome and better than staying in crazy Amsterdam on a Saturday night. Will definitely come again.

Hotel is located around 2 minute drive from Nadi airport. 10 minutes to Nadi town & 20 min to the port of Danarau- which is the main connection to the islands. Within walking distance there is a market about 15 minutes walk down the road, there is not much else other than the main airport of Fiji.
The majority of rooms are all ground level houses with high ceilings though there is s main building. There is covered walkways to get to your room/building if on floor level. My room 225 was quite far from say reception.
The room itself offered a queen sized bed which was softer than the previous hotel I stayed at in Fiji. Bedside tables each side, one with a basic digital alarm clock & the other with a telephone, above offered lamps each side but high with switches on left hand side so you have get out of bed to switch off etc. This is also where there is a ceiling fan & digital seperate AC unit- all worked fine. The room oddly offered a 3rd single bed. In terms of plugs there were some each side behind the bedside tables- Australian kind.
In from of all the beds from the left - there was a desk & lamp with a large mirror and some plugs of which a US two pin was offered on one- you would need to unplug the the or desk lamp or TV for AUS plug. The TV was dated seemed small and not a flat screen with some channels having grainy pictures. I noticed a few local channels, plus Australian & Japanese NHK only. Below the TV was an empty fridge one side & the other contained a kettle to make hot drinks. Further along was a large wooden wardrobe that contained a lap top size safe, plus iron & ironing board.
The bathroom is at end of room & split into 2 rooms, the toilet & a shower cubicle with sink in middle. They offered hotel branded mini bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Soaps as well. Shower worked fine.
The room offers shutter type windows with mosquito nets in front. Overall the decor is quite bland lacking any picture or much general ambience, however it was quiet (when hurricane wasn't happening). There is also a covered porch with two chairs & ash tray for smokers. The room also offers a fire extinguisher but surprisingly no complimentary water is provided.
It is hard to say as spent the night due to flight cancellation & was here during the night cyclone Winston came thru. However was impressed hotel offers back up generators and thus power remained on during the storm. Wifi is free for one hour then cost FJ$20 for 24 hours but due hurricane went down after 2 hours of service. It seemed quite slow when it did work but generally hard to judge naturally since a category 5 hurricane was affecting FIJI.
Catering facilities included buffet breakfast & buffet dinner. Breakfast had hot & cold choices such as fruit, cereal & breads. Hot was pork sausages, beans, fries, scrambled egg & fried egg plus some vegetables. Dinner had fish, chicken, potatoes, vegetables some pork I think. Overall the food was edible, dinner being better but far from outstanding. It cost FJ$45 for dinner. There was also a bar.
Leisure facilities observed included an interesting pool that offered a large slide for adults as well as children- it looked fun but following cyclone Winston it was out of action. There was also a play area for kids with climbing stuff & frames etc. The hotel also had a large souvenir & convenience store, which had some decent items plus a tour desk. I also noticed some washing machines & dryers for guests.
Overall there was quite a bit of damage from trees on the ground after the 200mph cyclone so was hard to judge & perhaps the hotel offers more facilities.
Staff were ok, it was a difficult situation as stayed there the night the cyclone category 5 came thru, the staff were relaxed but not so personal like I found on the island. However the porter Mala was very kind.
Overall this is the better hotel to be very close to the airport but it is not the Fiji experience. I would stay here if needed to be up very early for an flight. Again my review was when I stayed as a result of Cylone Winston, a category 5 and it was very scary but the buildings all survived though a lot of tree's didn't. However staff handled the situation well.

Located in downtown Taipei area, next door is TGI Friday plus a shopping street is close. 101 is also a few blocks away. Songshan Airport is about 5 minutes drive away and TPE airport is about 45 minutes drive.
The Deluxe King has an interesting luxury elegant boutique design. Very much, but more, premium high end Laura Ashley esq decor. This forms the basis of the decor in general of this hotel grand, artistic & unique blend of dark and light colours. Outside each room is a nice glass lantern showing your room number.
As you enter the room, smell of dark wood is the obvious first sense, the lights auto brighten in this reception corridor where an artistic contemporary painting face you. There is double sided closet with mirror facing you, this is where you place laundry & shoe's for the complimentary polish service is provided. You leave these here for staff to collect upon pushing a call button next on the outside so no interaction is needed.
Within this reception entry area of dark, possibly pine wood, is a not so obvious door that when opened , a refreshing brighter blue flower wallpaper toilet room welcomes you- all finished in white marble with sink accompanied by a telephone & pad- volume control to listen to TV, plus a privacy button in case your main door bell goes.
Back into the corridor area on walk to room, two sides open up with side rooms before the bedroom.
To the right is an open large wardrobe area. Again dark wooden finish throughout but with a classic dressing table in the middle with grey marble top & glazed crystal lights either side, very nice for ladies to do make up. The wardrobe room is open (but does have sliding doors). Within - Left side has a wide leather fabric luggage rack with MO branded robes & slippers. Slippers very thick and cosy. The opposite has no rack but is top to floor hanging area for long dresses & suits, but there is plenty of room each side to hang clothes.
On the opposite side, facing this wardrobe of the corridor is a bright grey marble finished bathroom with crystal lights & wooden furnishings. The marble finish bath is oval shaped & somewhat spacious positioned next to sliding pull aside French style shutters that overlooks the bedroom & enabling you to watch TV whilst in the tub. To the side of bath is a nice presentation of 3 kinds of bath salts: Eucalyptus, Juniper & lavender all MO branded. In addition also MO branded are dental &shaver kits, comb, lint roller, sewing kit & loofah. The luxury marble sink offers 'Diptyque' Paris branded body lotion, skin soap & also shower gel, shampoo & conditioner in which is offered in the large spacious shower cubicle. Also fully grey marble finished shower cubicle with grand taps offer 2 shower head functions plus an additional overhead rain shower. Mirror & marble bench are also in the cubicle. The bathroom offers dimmer lighting controls & the lavender bath salt was perfect to relax pre-sleeping.
The main bedroom is large & spacious with a large kingsize bed - exceptionally comfortable with the finest bedding used. Bed side tables are on each side with various silver button control lighting system settings that include ambiance, night, reading & with a dimmer function. There is also an automatic drape function for the curtains- which offers a modern innovative functionality to the otherwise classical decor look. An international plug is offered on one side & a clock on the other.
The bed faces a large marble wall unit with an oval working marble top desk, chess board printed into the marble, lamp & various AV & international plug sockets within. The leather desk chair was very comfortable to work from. MO branded stationary sets are also offered.
A large smart TV faces the bed & offers 59 channels, x4 movie, 13 local channels, x8 international news channels such as BBC, NHK, CNN, other channels plus a mix of familiar branded cable networks, Discovery, Nat Geo etc covering documentary lifestyle, sports kids TV.
Next to the TV is a large glass facing cabinet that contains the minibar in which is extensive -medium shelf liquor & champagne (Veuve cliquot) & wines plus snacks. Above is the tea making facility & expresso machine offered with gold rimmed chinaware on the shelves above. Lastly in front of the large arched windows, overlooking the French style MO courtyard is a light brown wooden love seat with small coffee table. The room is white, soft carpeted, bright with an overhead light that has large glass pipes design somewhat representing chandelier type light in the centre above the bed. A very grand room indeed & most elegant I have stayed in, the designers obviously spent much attention to the detail, comfort & functionality.
WIFI is unfortunately not complimentary in which I think quite surprising for the price they charge and how almost all hotels these days are free. Its obviously a corporate decision.
Catering facilities include a French restaurant where the breakfast is served and by far the best breakfast I've had in all of the 200+ hotels I have stayed. They offer an al la carte menu such as egg Benedict but also a very exceptional buffet full of fresh breads, pastries, fruit & various foods for Asians & westerners alike.
In addition on this level is a branded French Brasserie & cafe with cakes and pastries, the Macarons were delicious. There is also a cantonese and michelin starred chef run Italian restaurant. By the lobby is the jade lounge which looked very nice for an afternoon tea but I did not try any other than breakfast and macaron. I did however visit the MO bar which is dark Whiskey themed bar, slightly pretentious atmosphere but that is expected. Some of the art work though was interesting at the bar and surrounding corridors.
Leisure facilities include a v high tech gym equipment mainly cardio but they do give you headphones for your work-out. They had a pool but was being renovated in which was discounting when your a swimmer like me. The main spa area offers massages & they sell a comprehensive range of Aromatherapy Associates & Claris brands. Did not try any of these as my stay was short. There is also extensive business and meeting room facilities plus a shopping mall area but did not get a chance to visit these.
Staff overall were nice but quite uptight and stuffy, obviously this is a brand that maintains discipline but at times I was asked twice if I was staying at the hotel. Staff could do with smiling more and being more approachable. To have breakfast is like checking in for a flight requiring documentation etc and the bar staff are not so proactive- you approach them. The hotel is gorgeous and very comfortable but the staff really lacked the warmth the decor and facilities it offered.
Overall would love to stay here again as it was an enjoyable experience with one of the best room's I have stayed at. Definitely best breakfast ever had in any hotel.

Hotel is located in the downtown area - right on the road next to the Saigon river. Next door is the Renaissance hotel & everything is very close such as souvenir shops, coffee house, family mart, plus KFC & other dining places- plus a Japanese street with Sushi places very close by. From SGN airport taxi takes about 30 minutes & should cost no more than 200k dong or $10.
Room on 19 the floor (non smoking floor) is modern clean & felt brand new. There was a superb glass to ceiling window view of the Saigon River, which was relaxing to leave curtains open & wake up to the sunrise over the river.
The room offers a very comfy double bed- good mix of soft & firm. Either side had small circular bedside tables with swivel flexible reading lights. US/Euro two pin Plugs are offered either side so great for charging your devices. A phone is offered but no clock. Next to the bed is a a comfortable armchair to watch TV or look at the view with tall modern lamp.
The modern TV included 46 channels of which 20 are local & the rest is mainly American such as HBO, CNN but French & Japanese channels were noticed. The unit that the TV is on includes a desk that offers a nice lamp & an international plug, USB & HDMI sockets - easy to work from.
Along the room is a nice modern IKEA style wooden unit that includes a luggage rack, tall wardrobe that has an easy to use Safe that could fit a small laptop. Slippers & robes are included.
A mini bar is offered that includes drinks & snacks plus a small kettle. There is also tall mirror & digital A/C unit which was hard to work the fan- found the room hot at night despite being on 20 C.
The bathroom adjoins the room with glass wall so one can see thru to shower & toilet, however a blind is offered to retain privacy when your not solo.
The shower cubicle is spacious & includes rain & separate shower functions. Modern fixtures & amenities include two water bottles & a full set of hotel branded products even comb & dental kit with standard mini bottles offered.
Overall the room has modern boutique decor & is comfortable for business travellers plus romantic for couples.
The hotels offer free secure wifi for multiple devices- it worked well.
Catering facilities include a Vietnamese buffet restaurant called central, a bistro is offered in lobby - coffee & snacks (did not use either) plus on the 25th floor /roof is the 'vertical bar' quite a nice bar with view all round & where the rectangular pool is located & sun loungers - decent pool for small lengths with modern decor but does get crowded as chairs can be limited so do a German & get there early.
Other leisure facilities include a gym that offers a nice view of river, with mainly cardio equipment. There is also a Spa with massage service offering a 30% discount before 1pm, though did not use.
Staff are very nice as always in Vietnam. Especially mr Nha on the roof serving the pool very friendly with a personal approach to customer service. Also front desk staff are helpful with bookings and directions. Bell man & house keeping also always acknowledge you with a friendly smile. Again as always in Vietnam hotels offer the best 5 staff service regardless of star rating of hotel. I left them some Chinese presents I couldn't fit in my luggage and they were very grateful.
Overall this was a lovely modern boutique hotel, with comfortable and modern as Bangkok & Hong Kong style room plus a stylish pool & bar with excellent views from the roof of the city & river. I look forward to returning here again in the near future.

This hotel is around 10 minutes by the free coach pick up outside of arrivals at stop 14C- signage is clear with times. Further away that best western & grand hyatt, but worth it. A full size coach is used so no issues to book etc. In the area appears to be a small port as this area has islands round it. There seems to be some shops not to far away but did not check. There is a nice walk along the water and a small beach which I believe to be part of the hotel.
Room was of spacious size, modern, innovative, cosy but industrial look to fit with design group hotels. A good amount of contemporary wooden furniture and innovative standard of mellow lighting options. The double bed was very comfortable with nice pillows. Bed side tables & mini spot light lamps (with dimmer option) perfect for reading either side of bed- plus international plug sockets. A small wooden 70's style alarm clock & phones is offered on left side, with TV remote on the other- wrapped up in a fabric bouquet. The flat screen smart TV offers 27 channels of which mainly Korean but also news outlets BBC, CNN, NHK, EURO news is offered plus a full airport guide of arrivals and departures. Behind the bed is a modern blue tooth speaker system that one can synch with their advice to listen to music/audio book etc whilst in bed. Very nice feature.
An upright arm chair is offered in the room below a large hanging white contemporary lamp shade. There is also a square foot rest and small side table positioned next to TV. A handy workstation/desk is offered as an alcove with overhead lamp and mirror. Full set of plugs, USB included are conveniently offered at the desk.
Near to the entrance is a large wooden unit, that has the mini bar underneath- includes drinks & snack items such as chocolate, jacobs crackers and beef jerky. Some tea/coffee making is offered above-all very clearly perfectly positioned as if the hotel staff have OCD. There are two complimentary bottles of water offered. Next along is an open cabinet that contains a luggage rack on bottom and plenty of coat hangers. A convenient light sensor operates when you are next to this area plus a floor to ceiling mirror is offered opposite so you can check you look great before exiting your room.
Below the wardrobe is an easy to use laptop size safe. Slippers and nice robes are also here.
In the very modern bathroom, white bright and again nice lighting with very modern fixtures, such as volume control dial style looking taps. There is a washlet, that always had a warmed seat with full functions- though all in Korean. Next to this is a shower - rain design and detachable. Modern scales and hair dryer is also offered with plenty of towels.
Full set of every amenity (confusing on mini bar menu, razor is charge able) - there are individual tubes of body lotion, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner from the Kudo spa brand. A large salt tub is also offered to scrub the body.
The room has digital AC controls easy to use and also before I left I noticed a balcony but small and no chairs in my room. Overall a very comfortable room, cosy, modern and slept well and a very inviting bathroom- for those that like innovative designs and comfort. Blacked out curtains are also offered, plus a balcony for fresh air. I will certainly return here again as one of the best airport hotels I have stayed at in Northern Asia.
Free un-secure open WIFI for multiple devices- very fast with no issues. Leisure facilities include a superb Sauna facility separate for men and women that include 3 baths. One cold, one warm and one hot that is enclosed outside area. There is a large sauna as well. Temperatures are digitally displayed very clearly above each product. There are also many showers offering full set of amenities and digital controlled lockers.
There is also a gym area that unusually offers a boxing ring but also plenty of cardio and weights -equipment, all brand new. Excellent standard and used the sauna facilities twice during my 12 hour stay.
Catering offers room service until 1am plus a restaurant downstairs which i did not use- breakfast when not included is $25. The lobby on this level has some chairs and mini apples. On ground floor level is a garden, meeting rooms and an ATM. The garden has benches that face the water, some grass but warning not to go on it (?) plus there is a small beach offered with sand but not really for swimming. A nice kids area is offered with wooden climbing frames. There is a pathway to go for a nice walk along the waterway.
Check-in and out was very efficient and fast. Staff very clear and offer a sheet that explain the facilities/wifi clearly. They are polite but very regimented and not say warm. There is also a concierge desk. One staff came across slightly rude as I was not allowed in the breakfast room in my first class Asiana slippers- which fully covered the feet. She initially said for my safety then I showed her the extensive grips underneath and she became slightly evasive and said sorry sir very firmly- due to this I declined to have breakfast, as I was in a suite trouser and a shirt. Staff is really weakness of this hotel and this is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.
Overall other than that, the Nest is lovely product, the sauna facilities were very nice, the room was original, innovative and it felt an experience to be here rather than the normal airport chain hotels. I will hope to return again.

Hotel is about 20-30minutes drive from HKT airport. If you are getting taxi upon arrival go outside of airport building to taxi stand where they will charge 600thb, inside stands it is 800thb. The immediate area Naithon Beach is very quiet, you can walk down the stairs from the pool in a few minutes. The beach is ok, clear but not so calm but it is not busy & mostly guest stay at hotel, it's quite nice but not amazing for say snorkelling, I saw more surfers than swimmers. There is a road along beach in every other store is a massage place & about 4 restaurants one Italian pizza place & some bars. It was vey quiet at night, and is not a party place- the hotel offers a better bar due to the ambience. There is also atm, pharmacy & mini mart. on the road. Seedy Patong is about 25 km away or over an hour drive which is where the main night life is.
The rooms at this Pullmans are all over the side of a hill in maybe 20 different buildings with different categories of room. The buildings are all over the huge grounds up the hills with small roads etc but a 24 fast car service gets you to entrance, beach or lobby where catering facilities are via a phone call - they offer quick response. You can walk it as some short cut pathways exist.
My room in building 6 was almost at top of hill near the 2nd swimming pool.
The room was deluxe King that was very spacious & functional - boutique bright colours with excellent lighting, it reminded me of the W hotel brand with all open zones like bathroom but pull across shutters are offered if privacy is needed.
The bed is huge, very soft & comfortable- easily enough room for 3 people. Either side offers international plug sockets, a huge alarm clock & phone on the bed side tables where below decorative small storage boxes are offered. A small soft chair with coffee table is next to bed & comfortable to watch the large TV that faces the bed. The TV offers many US movie, documentary & sports TV, many Thai & regional channels, plus German, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, French & Spanish language channels etc.. The TV is on a large desk with plenty of space & easy to access plugs & so is functional for working on a personal computer. There is an extensive mini bar & modern kettle to make teas. The hotel offers a generous x4 half litres bottles of complimentary water.
The bathroom offers a large sink area with stool for ladies to sit to do make up. A large bath & separate spacious shower cubicle that offers a nice rain shower as well as detachable head. The toilet is in a separate room. Full 5 star amenities are offered with generous size personal C.O Bigelow (as in all pullman's) that includes shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, vanity, shows cap & dental kits. All that is missing is a shaver set.
Near the entrance to the room is a convenient open wardrobe though a slider door can close it. This small walk in wardrobe offered a large luggage rack, easy to use medium size safe, ironing board, hair dryer, robes & slippers plus a mosquito burning stick for the balcony. The only item missing is flip flops which Pullman in Kuta offer and strange for a beach hotel not to, also no shoe polish.
All rooms offer a balcony which is very comfortable offering a bed with a pillows that a couple could both snug up to and listen to the sea and jungle noise oustide. Nice place to chill but be wary of the mosquitos (though they provide a stick to light and smoke to avoid any attacks). As all rooms are non smoking inside so a chair & table is offered with ash tray for smokers.
Digital easy to use AC plenty of international plugs & decent lighting that include reading lamp & ambient settings.
Overall very functional room - well maintained & clean with a wooden modern look that is 5 star standard with no fault, just some missing items, shaver set, flip flops etc.
There is secure complimentary WIFI for up to 4 devices that worked reasonably well. There are two pools- both infinity design. One at the top of hill which is more for lengths as straight rectangular design that offers a small bar for drinks and snacks, 24 hour modern equipment gym, roof deck for doing early morning Yoga plus an impressive children's playground that even includes a mini climbing wall. I did yoga though at the sun deck and it was incredibly meditating experience, the yoga guy was well trained and relaxed so helpful with getting back familiar with breathing exercises.
The main and large pool located by the lobby is the highlight though, very nice looking original design but not so good for lengths. It does though offer a superb view of the beach below, which new to has stairs going down to. This pool area offers plenty of sun loungers some in the pool some on a man made beach below & others along the cliff edge walk way to sun set deck, where some bean bags are located.
The pool area also has a all day dining restaurant and pool bar for snacks and cocktails. Nearby is the hotel spa which is quite pricey in which you pay for the excellent level of ambience. I had a Balinese massage, which is their most popular but is over 3k baht for 60 minutes. In the nearby the bar I ordered a Pad Thai in which tasted lovely.
Upstairs, above is the main restaurant & wine bar but did not visit. The lobby area has another cafe that offers live music in the evening during happy hour where the local singer sounding very uncanny to David Gray. Seating offers an excellent variety including a circular table with a water display offering a very nice relaxing view. There are also beds, pods, sofas- enough for the family or the romantic couple- with good levee of privacy.
Other facilities I noticed included a deli for sandwiches, ice creams plus two shops- one for ladies boutique fashion & another which sells a lot of Pullman products as well as local items such as pillow spray & sun tan lotion.
The resort is vast with many roads around it but frequent car service that you call offers no walking & arrive fairly quickly after requesting. There is also a meeting room and business centre and am sure there are ore facilities I did not see.
Staff offer a true Thai hospitable welcome, not just at front desk but at bars, spa's and even the drivers. The service approach is the 5 star Asian standard. Initially on my first nightI had some issues with the staff (all I say is if your allergic to chilli be wary of the peanuts complimentary snacks they offer in the cafe/lobby bar). However they were very helpful and the Australian GM wanted to meet me and resolve/repair the issues I experienced. He did so with care and understanding of my experience with a high level of professionalism that couldn't of been better resolved. Other staff such as the drivers (to the room), yoga instructor, pool catering staff and even house keeping are so warm and welcoming - Pullmans has a great approach to maintaining the original Thai hospitality, which is sometimes lost in Bangkok hotels.
Overall this hotel is outstanding & the best Pullmans I have been to. It caters for everyone great facilities for kids, families, honeymoon couples and even single business travellers like myself. I found the whole experience so relaxing and therapeutic. I only say this is a hotel you essentially stay at most of the time as its in a nice idyllic quiet area. Its not for party goers or seedy travellers looking for girls. I cannot wait to return here again.

Hotel is located about 30 minutes drive from ULN airport & will cost around 20-25k mnt by taxi from airport, which are safe & fine. Hotel charge 40k+ for pick up.
The hotel is perfectly located in heart of UB right on Peace Avenue. A 5-10 minute walk gets you to the state department store which has the best tourist souvenirs seen (not tac) . The hotel faces the Chinggis square which has the famous Genghis Khan Statue in facing the square from the Parliament Palace. Peace avenue offers many shops, pharmacies & salons. A famous monastery is about 25 minute walk away.
Room on 10th floor is a deluxe suite, which offers a seperate living room & bedroom. The living room is the first room as you walk in & includes the bathroom. Living room has a large seating area with marble table that faces a family large sized LCD TV. The room also offers a workable desk, small fridge containing mostly drinks (but no chocolate!) & two complimentary bottles of water. A kettle also has few tea's & coffee.
The bathroom is also located within living room with a separate shower & bath plus spacious sink area. Bath taps are opposite of what they say - annoying when you run a hot bath and come back and its freezing, but the cold sign on tap is actually hot water Full 5star amenities are offered of which shower gel, body lotion, shampoo & conditioner is mini L'occitane bottle set. Glass walls surround, one frosted & by bath with blinds which enable you to watch TV from bath - like one sees in China (it offers privacy with blinds closed).
Bedroom has a large king size bed- very comfortable of medium firmness with lamps either side plus a control pad that has buttons to set alarm clock/fan/ac & all lights. Also a do not disturb button. Some chairs also exist with small table & ash tray. A medium sized TV & luggage rack face bed. TV offers 57 mongolian channels, 13 Russian channels, 16 mostly american documentary channels, 28 lifestyle & news channels from Uk, Japan, France, italy , China , Germany, Middle East & US. There are also 5 kids Tv, 17 sport channels & 7 movie channels - mostly American.
The room has a spacious wardrobe with lap top size safe, slippers & robe.
Lighting is ok, had no issues of lights turning on randomly in night (as some reviewers have pointed out) & AC has digital controls & worked fine. Windows offered a good view of Peace avenue but were not floor to ceiling. There are plenty of two pin Russian/Euro sockets including close to bed.
Overall very comfortable room, agree with some reviewers is a bit tired look (lack modern furniture) but nonetheless very clean with everything one expects from 5 star in a place like UB.
Wifi free & with multiple devices- had no issues in room or public areas. Catering facilities include 6 outlets, japanese, korean, chinese, all dining buffet, cafe with cakes & on roof lounge bar also with buffet & bar foods - offering a nice view of city. Food actually was impressive both dinner buffet & breakfast. Breakfast offers many hot & cold items such as full english, asian foods & salad fruit options. Dinner buffet is 27,000 mnt which includes beer or ice tea and also consists of salad & meat but lacks any sweet foods. However good freshness & flavour, in general UB lacks high standard restaurants in area so this was fairly good for price.
Leisure facilities include a hard salon, swimming pool (that smelt not too great) but decent enough size for laps. There is also a dry sauna, hot tubs (Japanese style) and full gym with weights and cardio. The hotel also offers a business centre, 2 souvenir shops, conference centre and a night club on ground floor, but did not visit.
Staff are fairly friendly though initially felt cold, however far more hospitable than one finds in Chinese 5 star hotels. Don't expect early check-in before 12, even if room is available unless you wish to pay 30% of days value. Hotel seems slightly anal about some policies, and overcharge for a tour / hotel pick up etc when you can find it half the price with tour operator. In general some staff don't speak that well English but all are polite.
Overall hotel is perfectly situated for business and tourists alike as everything is in walking distance. Room was comfortable and had no issues despite other negative reviews. It is 5 star but lacks the warmth and bling you generally get in Asia. However it is UB and unless you want to spend x3 times the price the Shangra La is the only true upgrade.

Located about 40 minutes from KJA Airport (1,200rb by Taxi to hotel) and about 10 minutes drive from the city centre. The hotel is located in a residential area with many apartment blocks nearby. Within walkable vicinity is a shopping mall, super market, gas station and some other unknown shops. The city centre is about 30 minutes walk to get to say the river side.
Room located on 9th floor seemed new, modern and comfortable offering a large king size bed. The bed offered convenient plugs and Flexi reading lamps either side, plus alarm clock and phone. Comfortable arm chair with foot rest is offered nearby.
A large desk faces the bed and has some plug sockets, nice warm lamp lighting with comfortable desk chair & mirror facing wall - very good for working and for ladies to get made up. A large flat screen TV included 32 channels with mainly Russian but did include France 24, CNN, Nat Geo, Animal Planet. Discovery, Euro sport etc.. Below a small empty fridge existed, though two complimentary bottles of water and tea/coffee making kettle located nearby. The room offers a large wardrobe with a laptop size safe plus a portable luggage rack, some slippers are offered but no robe.
The bathroom is modern offering a combo bath/shower with brand new modern fittings. Peter Roth amenities are offered that include shower gel, body lotion, shampoo & conditioner plus a dental kit. Plus hair dryer and plenty of towels.
The room offering excellent variation of warm lamp lighting, decent amount of Euro plug sockets and a dial AC unit.
Overall the room was very comfortable -meeting a good standard for the Hilton.
Free WIFI with no password for multiple devices throughout the building which is fast and worked well. A modern gym with TV's on cardio equipment is offered. Plus a self laundry room with washer dryer- very handy.
On the ground floor a small gift/snack shop exists for essential items and drinks (to replace the empty mini bar) plus a business centre with some computers.
For catering there is a lounge bar and buffet restaurant. Only tried food for the business lunch, which was of good value for money at 500r and includes a decent standard of hot and cold items, both interesting flavours and texture.
Within building is also some ATM's, a karaoke bar, Spa/Massage place & Billiards room but did not see these.
Staff presented themselves very well, spoke English more impressive than a major hotel at a Moscow airport and were very pleasant and helpful with any requests. Overall 5 star standard of staff.
This hotel could not be faulted in its own right other than perhaps the location in regard to vicinity to city centre, however its not far and is at good location for getting to airport. I would definitely stay here again.

The Novotel is right next to SVO airport, though Terminal D you need to take Shuttle bus, which leaves every 20 minutes from 6am-10pm then 30 minutes every hour thru the night to 6am. Take exit 1 & immediately turn right- initially hard to find but there is a sign.
In area only other hotels exist but no shops other than walking to airport which I am told takes 10-15 minutes to Terminals E or F.
At the airport there is also an express train that goes into centre of Moscow fin 40 minutes.
Standard Novotel room, clean modern, functional & cosy. comfortable double bed with a small sofa seat & table, plus wooden desk With flat screen TV above that faces Bed . Tv offers pay per view adult and normal channels which is mostly all Russian, though Euro News & Discovery in English, French, German, Italian and Even possibly a Chinese Channel is offered.
The comfortable memory foam bed has flexible reading lights, small table either side with nicely placed euro plugs underneath. All light controls are here and Novotel offers good choices. The desk also offers power plugs on the side.
There is also a small luggage stool, large wardrobe and cabinets with a large laptop size safe. Mini bar fridge is offered but expect to pay 3000 r deposit for it to be opened- standard mini alcohol bottles, soft drinks & some chocolates. Plus a kettle with black, green tea & coffee granules. They also offer towel robe & slipper and even full ironing board.
The bathroom was modern with nice lighting offering a bath/shower combo and the usual Novotel branded mini bottle amenities of body milk, shower gel, soap & shampoo/condition also bath tablets.
Overall cannot fault the consistent standard that the newer Novotel's offer.
Wifi is free for multiple devices- whilst its free it is painfully slow & it really depends where your room. I needed to get some work done online & so had to change rooms. Was told rooms close to the elevator are the best so they moved me to one there. Rooms 09 is good.
The hotel offers a superb leisure centre in basement that has a nice size square pool for laps but also a really impressive roman bath steam room, really nice & relaxing after a swim. The area was also very clean & includes towels and changing facilities as well as lockers.
For catering there is a bar & restaurant that has fairly varied menu and decent standard of food- quite westernised. It was incredibly resonably priced, same prices as mcdonalds (in Russia) but obviously better food. There is a huge central area for eating but this is for air crew only. However bar is nice. The hotel also offers a souvenir shop plus if you are flying Aeroflot - a self service check in machine is by reception. There is also a beauty salon not for massages- cosmetic stuff & a gym but did not see this.
Staff are ok, reception check-in was fast but lacked details. However finding room with insufficient wifi signal, they were able to change rooms & did so fine. At restaurant the server when asked if spoke English just said 'no english' & walked off a bit rudely. Understand if I was in Omsk but i think SVO Novotel airport hotel surely all staff should speak some basic level of english since majority of all guests & cabin crew are international. However when found another staff member, she was helpful & service was good.
Overall for the price paid (less than 50£) Novotel was the best hotel i have stayed at in Russia, with exception of WIFi. Room, food & leisure facilities were really good & certainly would stay here again when In transit in SVO.
Room Tip: Ask for rooms located by elevator such as room numbers 11, 09 etc if you need WIFI to work well.

The Townnouse is located at the north end of South beach on 20th street. Everything is pretty much in walking distance such as the beach (a few minutes), Lincoln road shopping mall (10minutes) & start of Ocean drive (10minutes). It is a perfect location that is just off the main strip on a side street, so level of noise at night is low. Witihin immediate area is some clothes shops, a Mediterranean fast food place and some other restaurants such as Nobu next door. Walgreen’s, liquor stores and souvenir shops are all within 5 minutes walk away. Some of the high-end boutique hotels are also very close by.
The room located on the 1st floor (non smoking floor) was fairly spacious and the decor presented a minimal boutique beach hotel feel. The double bed was soft and comfortable , a large wooden bed side board is all connected to bed and runs along the back wall. It also acts as a luggage rack and includes a IPod/old Iphone connector Alarm clock and telephone. There is a nice hanging lamp above the bed with easy to access switch that has a dimmer function - easy to turn off.Plenty of plugs are also behind the bed. The bed itself contains one huge pillow and two small ones, I slept well and found it comfortable. In the corner of the room was a bench style seating with table, ideal for eating upright and perhaps working on a computer. Another decorative lamp with mellow lighting is offered in this corner.
A huge flat screen faces the bed on the wall but did not check what channels are on offer.
There is a small bathroom that offered a shower only but also had generous hotel branded soap, shampoo gel and body lotion along with sufficient towels. Oppoiste this is a small cuboard which is where you can hang your clothes and also a large safe (enough room for a laptop, though hard to get it as on top shelf. In addition a fridge is offered but only mini hotel branded water bottles are there (@$3 each). The room were clean and overall for the price paid, just over $100 off season was a good rate for a comfortable room.
This hotel offers secure WIFI for multiple devices, at times a little slow but still was free. There is strangely a exercise bike in the floor corridor at the end, there to use. There is no pool or other gym equipment that I was aware off. On the ground floor is a restaurant that is used for breakfast which is complimentary. This only includes some breads and about 4 different bagels, Philadelphia cheese as well as cereals and juice. There is also a roof top terrace with many loungers and a bar offered. IN addition for $10 for up to 3 hours you can hire the hotel bicycles, great for cyclone the scenic boardwalk along the beach. They also hand out beach towels at reception so no need to bring your own or use one from the rooms. Also some snacks are offered and lotions etc in the lobby plus complimentary coffee and water machine.
Staff for south beach & I used to work there (generally has a poor rep) were actually really nice, welcoming and clear with information. Nicest staff of all hotels I have stayed at in Miami previously.
Overall would definitely return to this hotel if the price was right. It is a perfect location and exceptional value for money (off season).

Located about 15 minutes drive from Sanya Airport, located along the quieter beach front road of Sanya Bay, offers an excellent view. Beach is across the road & whilst it is adequate for sunbathing, there are signs saying don't swim in it. It didn't look that clean. Within area is just various hotels and I think the odd restaurant but not sure, it seemed no shops or much in the area. A 20 minute taxi cab will take you into main city area of Sanya where everything is located.
Room was located on 16th floor with an amazing sea view and spacious balcony. Decked out with full art deco design combined with glamorous premium Chinese style with marble floors & tops, wooden furnishings & walls and mother of pearl and much lighting.
The room as you enter contains a small inlet where the luggage rack is seen and this is where the main wardrobe is that contains slippers both inside and outside, robes and ironing board, also hair dryer. Below the small rack is a large laptop size safe. Whilst it was nice to keep bags & clothes away from main room, it seemed a walk away the slippery (presented wet) marble floor to get anything from bag.
Back to the main corridor with nice reception table faces the open plan bathroom that offers a modern bath tub with TV in front in a mirror (though did not work) and separate very large shower cubicle enough space for two. Two sinks are offered and the toilet has a telephone in it in a separate room but see through glass door. The bathroom offers wooden french style shutters. Amenities include all hotel branded items - full 5 star set even loofah, plus mini shower bottles etc branded as French Connection. The bath offers a TV mirror style that faces it in there but despite maintenance coming to look at it was told it simply doesn't work.
The main bed room had a large king size bed, very comfortable but way over the too on pillows (8). Bedside tables contained useful international plug sockets & telephone. The bed faced a large Samsung TV with 51 Channels, international included CNN, BBC, NHK, ESPN, Discovery etc..- below the TV is many cabinets & drawers all empty with nice premium pearl covers. The room contained a working desk, marble top and wooden finish with lamp and an alarm clock using the new style lightning slot- this is where the iPad is contained. Many plugs also existed here. There is also a armchair with leg rest nearby and next to this a cupboard that contains the extensive drink (but lacking snacks mini bar). There are double doors that lead to a large balcony with exceptional view of the South China Sea and downtown Sanya in the distance. A large shared cabana style bed is outside, nice for couple with privacy and two arm chairs.
The room offers touch control A/C and the most exciting feature is the iPad that controls all lighting in room digital thru the WIFI (plus A/C), plus can use WIFI, weather, movies news etc all from this helpful device but other than lighting, the rest is in Chinese only despite English selection. The lighting was excellent especially the art deco tube lights by the bed plus the overhead reading lights. Overall a very nice room look and finish, only issue was facing the bed was stained walls which was a shame as it brought down the most impressive decor seen in China.
The hotel offers WIFI which is free and worked well, unusually it was able to access FB and break thru the firewall. The hotel offers 3 dining facilities and 24 hour room service of which no menu is given out and they only tell you options by phone. Food is ok but a little over priced. There are two pools at this hotel, one is rather exciting with bed jacuzzi designs init plus some small slides for kids. The other is a wide spacious pool. There is also a Gym with a snooker table- looked nice & some dedicated kid area but never saw this. Hair salon and also KTV on ground floor- but did not see these.
Staff like most Chinese hotels are the issue but this is because one is staying at a non International brand. Very few can speak English, girls behind the reception giggle when you try to talk to them and run away. Room service staff refused to let me have the tray (never heard this in any hotel) just only allowed plate and cutlery. The broken TV in the bathroom was just laughed at that it is broken but no resolution or apologies. Overall my clients put me in this hotel, and whilst the sea view and room were impressive, this is not a place for non Chinese. Staff simply are not welcoming and verge of rudeness. To be fair I never saw any non Chinese during my stay, with loads of international brands in Sanya, there is no reason for international travellers to stay here. Despite a clear 34 excellent review, the staff unhelpful/welcomeness, dirt on walls and corridors on carpets, lack of room service menu, plus the price means I give this 3 stars solely for the room. The hotel is basically 4 star, room 5 star, staff service 2.5-3 star.

Located off the highway, 15 minutes drive from SEA airport. In residential but quiet cosy spot but there is not much about to walk to. Nearest pharmacy/store is 45 minute walk as it is in a residential area.
Room was large, located in the Spruce building (various buildings in this hotel). The room offered two queen size double beds on floor level, each bed had a decent size moveable reading lamp attached to it. In between beds is a bedside table that has a alarm clock that can be used to charge iPods or old style iPhones but -a handy USB slot is included if you dont have an apple product but need to charge your phone. Plugs though are ready available under the bedside tables.
Next to the bed by window is a soft comfortable armchair with foot rest. The view outside is on floor, if not lower, level to the exterior walkway outside. Two kinds of blinds, one can enable privacy but allow natural light, whilst another fully blacks out light.
Facing the beds is a large long wooden table offering two separate desks each with two plug sockets & personal lamps with a phone located in between, very much suitable for two business people sharing room & needing to work.
There is a large flat screen TV above that offers 50+ channels such as regular cable and like BBC and Telemundo. On the left side of this table is a set of large wooden drawers & personal coffee machine. On opposite end is two large wardrobes next to a soft leather bench used as a luggage rack. In one of the wardrobes is a large easy to use lap top size safe, robe's and ironing board with iron.
The bathroom was spacious with large bath combined shower. Amenities included shampoo, conditioner, balt salts & body lotion. No shower gel but large soap. If like me you forgot your toothbrush they offer some additional amenities at reception.
Lighting is quite nice and mellow with a A/C that has personal switch controls.
Overall a very comfortable spacious room for the business passenger looking for the lodge experience outside of the city but near the airport.
The hotel offers free non-secure WIFI throughout the hotel- it generally worked ok, good on phone but dropped occasionally on laptop - maybe an apple issue. Within each room building is a lounge area- it is unique as I am told the Silicon valley way of business offices. The lounge has TV sofa's and a fridge full of unlimited bottle water, fruits, cheese sticks & two kinds of yogurts in the refrigerators as well as ice cream tubs in the freezer. In addition potato chips and various chocolate raison type items and nuts in bowls on counter plus a microwave- a very nice touch and unique to me of over 170 hotels I have stayed at. It was great to have this and I guess this is the reason no mini bar was in my room.
The hotel catering includes a very nice restaurant, fine dining style and slightly on the pricey side, i.e $55 for a steak but it is worth every cent- incredibly fresh and well worth it. The food is all local sourced and organic from a Farm I was told. Even the bread is fresh, service is the only issue. There is also an adjoining bar.
Breakfast is included and has a few item such as bagels, bread, bacon, egg dish and some fruit, cereals and oatmeal etc.. overall nice but no green tea!! Breakfast dining is on large shared round tables so expect to share with other guests when busy, which was actually nice talking to other guests staying there.
The hotel also offers a gym- quite modern and outside a hot tub, which was very hot. There is a small arts and craft store by reception as well.
Staff were nice at reception and clear with everything, though found the hotel bill pushed under the door at 6am a bit odd as it woke me up. They have a CC on file so did not know the point of this. The restaurant staff took ages to take order and then forgot about it, coming back to re-take it saying it had been lost in the system. They were polite and apologised but obviously lacked efficiency especially as this restaurant is fine dining. Other than that all staff like house keeping couldn't not have been nicer and more welcoming.
Overall this was a super hotel choice by my clients, its aimed at the business traveler looking for that lodge experience- with the shared kitchen and free items was very nice touch. The location is convient for the airport but would not say so for Seattle but you will sleep beautifully in this quiet location. I hope to come back here when I visit Seattle again.
